Hotel Stuff
For
STAR 08, we will again be handling hotel reservations with your STAR
registration.
Please
be sure to use the registration form - do not contact the hotel directly.
The
YO Ranch Resort is offering us the following choices and rates:
Standard room - one or two occupants,
King bed or 2 Queen beds: 72.00
Standard room - three or four occupants,
King bed or 2 Queen beds: 82.00
Family Suite - King bed, 1 double
bunk bed, 1 twin bunk bed; 149.00
One bedroom suite - 1 King bed: 175.00
All
prices are exclusive of tax (currently 13%, but subject to change).
The
YO has only 4 smoking rooms, so if you need one - book early.
There
is a good chance that we will sell out the YO as they have only 160 available
rooms. We occupied 250+ rooms in
The
hotel registration deadline is March 12, 2008. If you need a room after that
date, you will have to call the hotel directly.
Check in is after 4:00 pm and check out time is before 12:00 noon.
Hotel
cancellation - cancellations within 24 hours prior to check in date will mean
forfeiture of the first night’s room and tax. Hotel cancellations prior to that
date/ time incur no penalty. Please note that after March 12, 2008 - ALL
hotel cancellations MUST be made directly with the YO Ranch Resort.
When
you request your hotel room, you can also request your bedding choice - either
a King bed or 2 queen beds. These are requests only and we cannot guarantee
that you will always get your choice. Only one third of the rooms have King beds. You may also request a smoking room. Please include
any special requirements on a separate note.
If
you will be sharing a room, please indicate who you will be sharing with.
If
you need to cancel your STAR08 registration, please let us know in writing
and/or email to star08@hemko.com - even if it is after
the March 22, 2008 registration deadline. We will handle your hotel
cancellation if you cancel before or on March 12, 2008.
The HSTA will transmit a final rooming list to the hotel on March
15, 2008. Housing changes and cancellations after that date must be made
directly with the YO Ranch Resort at: 877-967-3767, fax: 830-896-8189.
We cannot accept hotel registrations after March 12, 2008
(registration must be in our hands by March 12, 2008). If you register
after that date, please contact the hotel directly and indicate that you are
part of the HSTA group. We will accept STAR08 registrations until March 22,
2008 (must be in our hands by March 22, 2008). After that date,
please bring your registration to
You MUST provide a credit card to guarantee your room. The
expiration date of the credit card must extend beyond your stay or your
reservation will not be accepted. If you are room sharing, only one credit card
is needed. The hotel will be happy to split your bill on checkout.
Other Stuff
You must be a member in good standing to register for and attend
STAR08. If your wife, partner, friend, child, parent, grandparent or anyone
else in your household will accompany you to STAR08 and will be riding - either
with you or next to you - they MUST be a member also. In most cases
(living in the same household), you can register them as a Member of Household
(MOH). If grandpa will be with you, but not riding, then you
MUST register him as a GUEST. Guests do not take part in rides or door
prize drawings. If you would like to buy an extra banquet ticket for grandpa or
junior, you can do that on the registration form.
We will email your confirmation if you give us an email address.
When you receive your email, please REPLY to the email. That will confirm to us
that you have received it. If we don’t hear from you via a REPLY, we will
eventually mail you a confirmation.
If you need to register more than 3 people on the registration
form, please include a separate sheet.
We would like you to provide us with an emergency contact who can
be contacted while you are at STAR08 - please fill in at the bottom of the
registration form. Many of you had problems finding the correct phone number
when filling out this information at STAR07. This should speed up the
registration process at STAR08.
If you cancel your STAR ‘08 registration before April 1st you will
be Issued a full refund, minus your raffle ticket
purchase. If you are a No Show for the rally, there is no refund but you will
be sent any T-shirts you ordered.
